  • Armorial bookplate of Earls of Derby on front paste-down, with motto "Sans changer". Added in pencil at foot of bookplate is the shelfmark "Mahog. Lib. 19. E." (At one time, Knowsley Hall had two separate libraries; the mahogany library and a smaller secondary library).
  • Inscription in ink on front free endpaper, repeated on rear endpaper: "Knowsley private(?) library, west division, 2nd wall bookcase A., shelf 2. no. 27". The inscription at the front of the book has been struck through. On same front free endpaper, in pencil "53 J". An attempt has been made to erase this mark, which is now only faintly visible.
  • Bound with 30 other items, with gilt lettering on spine "James II. William III. and the Revolution 1689. 1700".
