- Summary
- Genetically modified (GM) foods offer both possible benefits and serious risks to world societies and to the environment. Although they might assist in combatting hunger, one important risk of GM foods is that they might cause damage to ecosystems. Perceptions of GM foods and crops differ among states and societies. The US view is in many ways quite different from the European view. This situation causes complications and ethical challenges for companies doing business in the sector. How to understand this situation and what to do about it is the subject of this case
