A small shopkeeper in the 50s, he quickly understands the world is changing: the industry is imposing its economic model everywhere. An economic model he will apply on furniture. With Ikea, furniture is manufactured in factories, practical, cheap and easy to transport. Besides, this is the company motto: FSE for Functional, Shape and easy to produce. Kamprad brings this concept in huge stores. Today, Ikea stands for more than 250 stores in the world and counts more than 600 million visitors per year. Ingvar Kamprad became the 4th richest man in the world but he remains unassuming hidden in the Swedish countryside
