With a full page manuscript note in ink, in French, in the same hand, on rear endpaper, concerning "Catéchisme français, ou Principes de philosophie, de morale et de politique républicaine, à l'usage des écoles primaires, par La Chabeaussière" printed by Dupont, in 1797/1798.
  • Inscription on title-page: "Joanni Sniadeiki dono oblatus a Krusinski". This is in the hand of Jan Śniadecki (1756-1830), Polish mathematician, philosopher and astronomer. The rear endpapers are covered with manuscript notes in the same hand. These are in French and Polish, and have headings including "Extrait du Dictionnaire de Physique l'article de thermometre" (dated 1781), and "Histoire naturelle sur le Baya ou Gros-bec Indien". With a further note in this hand on the front free endpaper "X1. Mathesi app. (astronomia)."
  • A third inscription, also on the title-page, has been struck through and is illegible.
