The Dynamics of Jewish Latino Relationships centers around three themes: immigration, race and identity, and faith and religion. Each essay begins with a story of an encounter that, for various reasons, has brought Latinos and Jews together on the same stage. These stories are meant to spark dialogue about the bridges being built between Latinos and Jews in America and to inspire other scholars, community activists, religious leaders, and university students to pursue studies in this area and inspire Latino and Jewish communities to take action. Kevane poses the questions: What do Latinos think about Jews and vice-versa? What is it exactly about immigration that tugs at the heart of the Jewish community drawing it into the fray?
