"The purpose of this book is not the study of the festivals, but of the calendars themselves which have never been studied before as a group of specialized documents. In this work, an attempt is made to gather together all the known examples of Ancient Egyptian temple calendars, to reconstruct them whenever practicable and to give the history of this kind of document.
